VALUES

INTRODUCTION QUESTION

Have folks introduce themselves by sharing

  1. Name

  2. Where you live

  3. What you do for work

  4. What you’re hoping to get out of group

OPENING ACTIVITY

Write a note to yourself to be read in 4 months outlining what you hope you got out of your experience in community group.

Have everyone read their notes out loud

QUESTIONS

  • Since graduating, how has your sense of belonging changed?

  • Where do you feel like you belong today?

  • In college, you may have identified yourself by your major or class year. At the beginning of our gathering, we listed out where we live and what we do for work. How do you identify yourself today?

  • When you think about the year ahead, how do you hope that answer changes if at all?

  • Amidst a life full of competing priorities with work, friends, and life how are you finding ways to stay true to who you are?

TAKE ACTION MOMENT

For however many people are in your group divide that number by 3 and have the remaining number of folks draw 2 names out of the bowl. Those two people they are tasked with getting together with each other before the next group. Post a photo of your get-together in The Living Room.

Example:

  • 15 people come to group

  • Divide by 3 = 5 groups

  • Have 5 people pull out two names so everyone gets picked
